Naif Lab arises from a personal and professional transformation.
After over 20 years working in design — and 15 dedicated to ephemeral spaces — we spent a season on a beach in Brazil where nature filled everything: dolphins on the shore, a calm light… and yet, waste arrived daily.
This contradiction led us to ask the question that changed our course:
How can design create beauty without generating waste?
We decided to return to Barcelona and began researching new materials from organic waste. What started as an intimate search turned into Naif Lab, a studio that is also a material design laboratory where we create circular, durable, expressive and industrially compostable biomaterials.
Today we support brands, cultural institutions and interior designers looking for more responsible material solutions. We have collaborated with Mango, IKEA, the Barcelona City Council, the São Paulo City Council, museums and studios that want to explore a new language where sustainability, design and emotion work together.
We believe in materials that tell stories and in design that returns value to nature.
